Assuming "hold" means compatible, yes
Yes, assuming the TH350 has the Buick-Olds-Pontiac bolt pattern. A Chevy TH350 will also bolt up, but you will need an adapter from B&M or another supplier.
Buick Olds th400 or th425 (front drive) or dual pattern case th350
The bolt pattern on Chevy engines is unique. There are TH350 transmissions with both the Chevy bolt pattern and the BOP (Buick, Olds, Pontiac) pattern, but they are becoming somewhat rare.
Yes, in the transmission.
you can put a SBC in a 1972 olds, i have a 72 cutlass also and intend on putting my 400SBC in it in about a month or so. you would have to change the motor mounts, even though they are both GM, the BOP (Buick olds Pontiac) are different than GMC and Chevrolet. the transmission would have to change also, i have a BOP TH350 trans but will have to change to a Chevy TH350 because the holes are a little bit different. the accessory mounting brackets are also different, im not sure if you have power steering pump and AC compressor etc. for the Chevy but id hit up the junkyard for what you can and make life a little easier and cheaper.
Could be one of three V6 engines or a Chevy V8. The transmission won't bolt up to the Olds motor. However, you can change the motor mounts.....Use the ones for a Cutlass and a Buick, Olds, Pontiac transmission.
you can leave the transmission in or you can leave in the transmission
You can check the automatic transmission fluid on an Olds Alero by finding the check plug. It is located about half way down on the transmission. Loosen the plug and slowly pull it out.
Remove the u-joint from the back of the transmission. Remove the transmission mount bolts. Remove the transmission bolts. Remove the linkage. The transmission will slide backwards and can be removed.
It doesn't have one.
1986 - 1991.
Most Buick, Olds, and Pontiac V8 transmissions will fit your 330 Olds, commonly called a BOP (buick olds pontiac) bellhousing pattern.
I would check the transmission fluid, if the level is good i would get the transmission diagnose you may need to remove or replace the transmission.
towards the firewall, it is red.
You add tranny fluid right into where the dipstick is
in the driver seat of the car.
i don't know find out your self hi sorry
engine light is on 1997 olds sillouette tranny slpis code
Pontiac didn't make a 307. If it's an Olds 307, you need an adapter or a BOP transmission.
