Yeah, apparently you can but you have to change out a lot of other things such as computer/electrical stuff so it will cost you a lot more than just the engine. My 2.5 blew out and I was looking to do the same thing.
Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine and are normally replaced during a complete engine rebuild. If you change your oil/filter as recommended by the manufactrue you will not need to change it. If your 2008 Nissan Altima needs a new chain then you either have neglected the oil changes or there was a factory defect. Talk to your Nissan dealer about warranty service on this.
My headlight is not working on the passengers side. Do I need to change out the headlight assembly or can I simply change out the bulb? My headlight is not working on the passengers side. Do I need to change out the headlight assembly or can I simply change out the bulb?
Nop,, you dont need to replace the exhaust,,, they are separate parts,,, they are most like the engine and the spark plugs,, they work toghether but are not the same piece,,, Jesus S.
The Infiniti J30 is the same thing as the Nissan Altima. In fact the Altima is Nissan's version of the J30. However, being that it is an Infiniti, parts are more complicated and most probably will not match. Infiniti is a luxury line and is meant for dealer maintenance only, whereas the average do-it-yourselfer can fix a Nissan. If you need Altima parts your best bet is to check the junkyard.
There are pages of things that will turn the check engine light on. You need to have it checked for codes.
The turbo kit for the 93-97 altima is for the KA24DE engine type. The 91-98 240sx and 98-01 altima also have this engine. Most of the parts in the kits are similar, but do vary on length and location (exhaust manifold, intercooler pipe length, etc.). The kit for the 93-97 altima will work on your car, but with some modifications. Plus your gonna need to invest in fuel enrichment parts, reprogramed ECU, high-flow exhaust system and alot of time and money. Plus make sure you get a ball-bearing turbo and not a sleeve turbo. You can take parts from a 240sx, but remember, most of the parts will not be direct bolt-ons and you will have to modify them. On E-bay there is a KA24DE DVD turbo guide to make it a KA24DET, and instructions for other enhancements. Good Luck!!!
You need to change the filter with every oil change. Nissan recommends every 3750 miles.
gas and petrol are the same thing guy...

Unless it is running rough or missing, change them at 90,000 miles. They are screwed into the heads.
Axle Nut .. 1994 Nissan Altima ... 36mm socket. You will need a 1/2" Impact or breaker bar. Most parts stores have a loaner program where you can borrower this socket.
