This question has been answered many times, but once again....No....except if you want a big project...yes...MANY things will HAVE to be tended to. You will have to change transmissions, exhaust systems, engine wire harness, computers, instrument clusters and dash wiring, CV axles, all Plumbing(ie...radiator hoses, heater hoses, transmission lines, emission lines and tubes..ect) and MANY more not listed. So you will need lots of items from the parts car,but if you get a parts car,WHY not get one that you can drive as is and save yourself a lot of time and money?
Yes
i can answer that one the 3400 out of a 2000 grand am will slap right in. there are afew others including the 3400 out of the avalanche
The RS stands for rally sport and came with a 2.2L OHV engine. The z24 came with a 2.4L DOHC engine. They are totally different. No you cannot swap-out. The wire harness is different and the computer software is different.
You can fit 3.8 but the biggest but still a really easy swap is the 3.4
2.4L double overhead cam. 150hp
My 97 z24 is at the front under the air box just to the passenger side a bit in front of the engine.
absolutely not they are completely different
no
a stock 2000 cavalier z24 2.4L puts out 155 horsepower at the wheel
yes i but a 2001 2.4 in a 1997 z24
It depends on which engine your trying to swap. The 2.2L OHV engine will work in a 99 from a 2002 because it was the same engine. But if it's a Z24 model the 2.2L DOHC engine will not fit a 99 because the 99 used the old 2.4L Quad 4 in the Z24 models and some LS sedan models.
I have a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier. I believe it has the same engine. 2.4L DOHC 4-CYL = About 150 HP Stock.
