Yes 1litre 3 cylinder.
Suzuki.............. General Motors was the distributor for the Geo Metro. (Chevrolet)
Yes it will. from 1989 - 1995 all geo metros (as well as Suzuki Swift) had the same engines. As long as they both have the same type of transmission and the same size (1.0) it will fit. Hope this helps.
3cyl geo metros
its standard from sprints to geo metros all years (1.0L engines), cylinder head-to- block bolts is 54 ft.lbs.,,, 73nm as listed in the chilton's book #28700 from your local auto parts store.
The answer for the header is no. Geo Storms, Geo Metros and Geo Prisms were manufactured by 3 different companies. Storms were rebadged Isuzu Impulses ... Prisms were rebadged Toyota Sprinters .. and Metros were rebadged Suzuki Swifts ... hence no interchangeability of those parts. Hope this helped, sorry it was a no answer though.
most geo metros use a type 26R battery
Yes it shoud fit. Geo metros had the same headlights from 1995 - 1999
red and yellow
All Geo Metros have a top marked speed of 85 Mph. However you can get them up to around 90 to 95 Mph if you push it. Dont push it as you can warp the aluminum head gasket that Geos have and then you'll need a new motor.
no years to far apart
98-01 are Chevy, previous years are Geo, still both engines were make by Suzuki. 'The 3cyl model engines are different from the crank bolt pattern, the Geo was a 4 bolt, and the Chevy a 5.' From 1998, "The Metro now carried the Chevrolet nameplate, along with new front and rear fascias and a SOHC 16v design I-4 1.3L engine with a horsepower increase of 12%. Electronic ignition replaced the distributor, and MPFI (Multiport Fuel Injection) replaced the TBI (Throttle Body Injection). The new motor offered more HP, torque, and higher fuel economy. This I-4 engine replaced the older 8v 4 cylinder, but the 3 cylinder engine remained unchanged." from Wikipedia "Geo Metro." You may notice that 3-speed automatic transmissions are much more common for Chevy Metros than Geo Metros, as well as four cylinder engines. Standard transmission and 3 cylinder engines seem to be less common Chev Metros. A 4 cylinder engine model option was introduced in 1995 into the Geo Metro line. 4 cylinders were standard for Suzuki Swifts even before 1995.
