It might help a little. I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work as long as the T5 was behind a 4.3. Good luck!
I used Mercon in my 98 S10 2.2 standard 5 speed transmission.

I have a 98 S10 with the 2.2L standard 5 speed and it gets 29 highway, 25 around town.
I've got a 2000 chevy s10 2wd 5 speed I'm putting a 305 v8 in it will the 5 speed work on it
If the tranny came off the v6 s10
my 2000 s10 with a 2.2 5 speed is rated at 2000 pounds. so i think the 2001 is the same also.
yep
The transmission fluid capacity for a 1991 S10 5 speed manual transmission is approximately 3 quarts. This can be purchased at any auto parts store.
depends..if the tranny came out of an s10 with 4.3 yes..if it came out of an s10 wih a 4cyl. probably not..
On a 5-speed I'm pretty sure it is right next to where the shift tower gets bolted to the trans. It is a little ball that rides on the shifting rail. Should be pretty much the only sensor that is on the top center section of the trans.
A cable drives the speedo on that year of truck.
99 mpg
