Never take any herbal remedies without consulting your physician. Herbal medications can affect the prescribed medications you are on. Also, the danger is high if you should have an emergency and end up in ER. It is confusing to doctors if you have not told them about ANY herbal medications you are on.
There is no indication that ST. John's Wort helps even with depression. Until there are more conclusive reports on this I suggest it is best to stay away from this and work with your doctor.
