The best answer, in lieu of a pharmacist posting the answer here, is to call your local pharmacy, ask the pharmacist, "Can I take Tylenol 4 and Naproxen together?" They will be able to look it up and give you an answer.
Tylenol and naproxen are two different types of medicine. naproxen & ibuprofen are both similar though. it is ok to mix Tylenol with either of of these two. i have done it plenty of times. they both stop pain just differently.
No, you do not take two pain medications together. You need to separate these by at least 4-6hours, and the naproxen can only be taken twice a day. Overdosing on pain medication can cause confusion, hallucinations, and trouble breathing. You might even pass out.
They are safe to take together as long as they are taken as prescribed. It is very common for people to take a benzodiazepine (Xanax) and a painkiller (Tylenol #4). But be careful, it is common to experience drowsiness, especially during the first few days of taking the two drugs.
Yes because Vicodin has hydrocodone/tylenol....naproxen is an anti inflammatory medication. They are from two separate families of medication and are safe to take together. The biggest problem with this is that the vicodin can be upsetting to the stomach as well as the naproxen. Stomach and gastrointestinal upset is a possible side effect.
Dilaudid (hydromorphone) is a strong opiate that does not contain Tylenol (acetaminophen). Therefore, you should be able to take it with Tylenol. However, medications that already contain acetaminophen (such as Vicodin, Percocet, and Norco) should NOT be taken with Tylenol. The reason for this is because an overdose of Tylenol can very likely cause damage to the liver.
Yes, you can mix some medications together but only under the direction of a physician. You should never do that without their advice.
Yes there is a Tylenol 4
Yes, but not for extended periods, less than a week. Do not exceed 650mg Tylenol and 800mg Motrin per dose. Dose no more often than every 8 hours. Or you can alternate them every 4 hours.
4 hours
Tylenol and Ibuprofen are two different classifications of drugs. They may be taken together. For prolonged pain/fever relief, the best way is to take the Tylenol and then two hours later take the Ibuprofen.
no, or shall I say it is not recommended because both contain acetaminophen. I suppose you can take them if you really really need to as long as you do not exceed 4 G or 4,000 MG/day of acetaminophen (AKA Tylenol) Be very careful you DO NOT want to exceed the recommended dose of Tylenol because it WILL destroy your liver.
you can take Tylenol and advil....when my son was running a high fever..dr.told me to alternate the 2 every 2 hrs instead of just taking Tylenol every 4 hours
You can safely swap Tylenol and ibuprophen every two hours minimal. doing it this way is the best way to keep pain, fever and immflamation down.
