Yes, if you want your kid to be a speed freak. Bad idea. Don't take Adderall while pregnant. It probably says something on the bottle or maybe the slips they give you with all the information when you refill your prescription.

Adderall is considered a pregnancy category C medicine. Category C includes medicines that haven't been studied in pregnant humans, but appear to cause harm to fetuses in animal studies. The FDA gave Adderall a pregnancy Category C rating because it was shown to cause birth defects and miscarriages in mice. (And they haven't done studies on humans that I know of) Other studies in rodents have shown that when Adderall was given during pregnancy, it caused problems with brain chemicals. This resulted in long-term learning and memory problems. Saying that, I was taking Adderall for narcolepsy when I found out that I was 5 weeks pregnant. I stopped taking it for the rest of the pregnancy, and my son (now 3) is fine. If you have to take it, talk to your doctor about your concerns. If you are taking it to improve your concentration, I would try to go without it. I had to give up driving when I stopped taking Adderall, but I didn't think it was worth the risk to the baby.
