There is no return period unless the dealer has such a voluntary, user friendly policy. Most car sales are final. You need to read your contract and know the dealer's policies before signing anything.

What if you bought a car and decided that you don't want the car can you take the car back if you have not made a payment?

As soon as you leave the lot with a new car you have signed for and purchased, it becomes a used car and the value drops immensely. You can try, but you bought the car, and you own it. Unless the dealer financed the car, he has no interest in it any longer except for servicing it. Your only chance is to go back and ask the dealer if he will take the car back. If it is a used car, he possibly might. A new car, I seriously doubt it.

Bought a car Sat and want to take it back Monday can you?

Not in any state I know of. That new car you bought Saturday is now a used car and will be worth way less Monday than it was on Saturday when you bought it. The cooling off period or buyer's remorse law only applies to unsolicited sales, and not to a car you went to look at and bought. If the dealer came to your home unannounced without an invitation, and sold you the car, you might be able to get your money back, otherwise your bought it and you own it.

What if you buy a car for cash and it gives out the next day or week?

If you bought the car and it came with a warranty, written or verbal, then take it back for repair. If you bought the car, "AS IS", then you bought the car as is, meaning no warranty whatsoever. You bought it, you own it, and you will have to pay to get it repaired. As is means exactly that. AS IS! Some used car dealers in some states are required to give a 30 day warranty on all the used vehicles they sell. Individuals are not required to give any warranty.
