Can you take Effexor and Prozac together?

Yes, there is no problem in taking those 2 drugs together. You might experiment more side effects (dry mouth, dizziness, sleepiness, ..). This combination might be used in refracting depression (not responding to only 1 antidepressant - or too many side effects at higher dose)

I was prescribed both by the same doctor for over a year with never a mention of problems with combining the two. Both have their own side effects but they should not effect each other. While I never had a problem, everyone is different. I would not recommend just stopping effexor without docotor recommendation or supervision. makes you feel a bit whack...... effexor does not interefere with the pill, so it should not be a problem, but i would check with your doctor or a pharmecist to be sure anyway. Birth Control is affected by antibiotics the most. Effexor is an antidepressent and shouldn't be a problem. But ask your Healthcare Professional and also your pharmacist who can give you a printout of the drug covering do's and dont's ans med interactions.

yes you can. I have been on Prozac for over a year, and my birth control even longer, and its completely fine. i take one in the morning, one in the afternoon. if you want to feel even more reassured, talk to your family doctor, but it's completely fine, and I've been told this by my doctor.
