I don't think you can bring food on an airplane, they're pretty sensitive about that.
Yes to cheese, we took it in May 2012, but I don't know about butter. I would like to know the answer regarding butter and also Jam?
from my experience, cheese is ok but not soft cheese ie philidelpia, butter is not allowed as they class it as a paste/gel. Sorry, just had my Lurpack confiscated. AJ mackie
You may be able to consume it on the plane but you cant enter most countries with cheese or bacon due to possible foodstuff contamination.
Only if it's American! teehee

As of Nov 2008 you can bring electric shavers in cabin. TSA does not forbid them and some airlines, like United, expressly allow them to be used in cabin during flight. http://www.united.com/page/article/0,6722,1036,00.html

Yes, you can take baby milk abroad but you do run the risk of them exploding in the case due to the cabin pressures. Companys like www.baby-holidays.com can deliver baby milk to your holiday destination for you which might be a better way of carrying it.
