You should NEVER take oxycodone (oxy) after suboxone. These two drugs are both opioid analgesics which when taking together could cause respiratory depression and death. Taking any combination of opiate derived substances together increases the chance that you will become unable to breath, in addition to the risk of aspirating vomit if you were to throw up. This happens quite frequently in heroin overdose. Suboxone and oxycodone are both derived from the same chemical as heroine, and carry the same risks for overdose.

I can answer this question from personal experience. I'm a struggling recovering opiate addict and am now prescribed to Suboxone. I'm prescribed 4mg in the morning and 4mg in the early evening, so 8mg a day. I know that if I wait for 24 hours after taking my last dose of Suboxone I can feel about 60%-70% of the oxy. If I continue to do them, the amount that I am able to feel it goes up. After the third day of being off my Suboxone I can finally feel the oxy 100%.

Its different for everyone. I know one girl who can take a 4-8mglarger suboxone and less than 12 hours later be blitzed from an 80mg80mg oxy. No, the Oxycontin will still be in your system. But it depends how heavy of an oxy user you are. if you only do it a few times a month, the drug will be out of your system within a few days. Suboxone simply blocks the opiod receptors in your brain, so that even if you were to take an Oxycontin some time after using suboxone, you won't feel the effects of the oxy. It'll just be a waste.

I have done this accidentally and it causes precipitate withdrawals. What happens is that the Suboxone knocks t Oxy he off your receptor very quickly, causing you to go into some nasty withdrawals. If you have done this by accident, however, don't worry too much. You'll suffer vomiting for about 30 minutes and then about a day's worth of sweating, but you should be ok. Check with your prescriber.Suboxone has a pain blocker in it so it would not do you ant good to take the oxycodone with it, not only would you not feel it but it could possibly send you into withdrawals.

Suboxone is just as bad as Oxy, or any other medicine it claims to get you off of. Actually, it is much, much stronger. It is great at the beginning until you realize you are a still an addict and in much deeper than you were before. He will say, "it's not addictive!" and hang on to that excuse as long as he doesn't want to take responsibility and get sober. I am a suboxone patient, and have been for over 2 years, and it slowly ruins your life. I am almost weaned off now:)
