I wouldn't. Methadone is usually prescribed for opiate-addicted patients for treatment in detoxification. Methadone is also prescribed for relief of severe pain, so using painkillers after methadone would probably intensify the effect of both drugs and possibly cause nausea, constipation, and drug addiction.
I recently started taking methadone in low doses for severe chronic pain. It is working well for the most part but I think i need to take and additional opiate. I know I wont feel it. it will just help the pain. I dont care about feeling it. Im seeing a rheumatoligist speptember 1 regarding Arthritis in my knees. My question is, is it safe to take both under a doctors care of course. I have suffered with chronic pain for 16 years. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis in my knees and severe nots in my hips and thights with sciatica.
I am doing better with the methadone. Im getting out more, im seeing a therapist and I am eating right. I even started doing some yoga. I also eat a good diet. I use flax seed, fish oil, acidofolus, and vitamin c. i am finally getting my life back.
Yes Methadone blocks all other Narcotic painkillers. There is absolutely no point in taking methadone with any other opiate. Only maybe if you were having withdrawls from other opiates then I would only take 30 mgs at most. Methadone stays in your system a lot longer as well, the half life is like 48 hours.
Yes, I have been prescribed both medications from my dr. Methadone for all day, long term, pain relief and percocet for break through pain. Overdose on Methadone is more common to overdose on than other narcotics. I would not recommend taking both unless it is prescribed and take only has directed.
No it is not ok to do Meth and take Methadone.. Meth is not legal and unless you have a persciption for Methadone, you shoul not take that as well.
hydrocodone or oxycodone are both safe for break thru pain while on methadone
The methadone will block the anelalcesic effect of lortab
Quinine has no effect on Methadone detoxification.
Suboxene is used after being on a methadone program and you have reached a max. dose of 20 mg. a day. Then after 24 hours you took your last 20mg. you take suboxene. BUT NEVER TAKE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME OR IN THE SAME 24 HOUR PERIOD! One should be monitored by a medical professional
Yes. I'm currently taking both for nerve damage to my knee. 10 mg of both 3x's a day on the methadone only once on the MSContin IR (Instant release morphine)
methadone for back pain show toxicity when use long time
Suboxone will not but the methadone will show as an opiate. I would give the methadone a good four days to get out but keep taking your suboxone so you dont get sick. i have been on probation taking u.a.'s for about a year and have been on suboxone for the same amount of time. I take a sub the morning of my test and it shows clean everytime. just quit the methadone and you will be fine!
how long should someone wait to take the azithromycin while on methadone to clear their system
I would think that of it was a small amt of kpins like 1-1.5 mg then hrs later take methadone( no more then 35 mg ) depending on tollarance of course u will be fine ive done it be 4 an I'm still kicking! I wouldnt take them at the same time thoe
I usually take my daily dose of 100mgs of methadone and 30mins later I take about 400mgs of dramamine. This usualy intensifies the opiate "warmth" resulting greater euphoria. The key to this is timming. The methadone takes an hour to kick in for me. And 30 mins for the dramamine to kick in. So this allows the combination of the two to kick in at the same time.
Yes, as long as the ambien is not time released. I'm on 80 mg of methadone in the morning and take 10 mg Ambien everynight. I would not take them at the same time though since they both sedate.
Methadone and Xanax can be fatal when taken at the same time
Methadone, if taken as prescribed by your physician, should keep you well throughout the day until it is time to take it again the following day.
