Yes and no, Syndol contains paracetamol, codeine phosphate, doxylamine succinate, and caffeine.

The additional Tylenol (paracetamol) can place place you at a higher risk of renal and liver failure when taken at higher dosages on its own.

Generally, Syndol contains 450mg which would be the equivalent to 1 - extra strength Tylenol (it's 500mg, but 50mg is .05mg). You should not take more than 4000mg (4g) of Tylenol in any 24 hour period.

So If you take 2 Syndol tablets, you've consumed 450 + 450 = 900mg or 2 extra strength Tylenol.

As with any product that contain doxylamine succinate and/or codeine, do not drive or operate heavy machinery after taking it, consume clear fluids to help prevent constipation and dehydration, and remember that codeine is a narcotic and is habit forming and should not be taken for prolong periods of time.
