Yes. Valium (diazepam) is a benzodiazepine that has anti-anxiety, sedative, muscle relaxant and anti-convulsive effects. Ritalin is a CNS stimulant and works on dopamine receptors. Too much or even a standard dose can leave you jittery and very edgy. Sleep will be hard and eventually you can land yourself in psychosis (hearing voices, intense panic attacks, insomnia).

Valium like any other benzodiazepine will pretty much cancel out all of the negative side effects of the drug, leaving the positive intact, though a little weaker (only slightly). You will sleep well and have no chance of a panic attack if you combine it with Valium. Highly recommended, one of the safest combinations there are.

Good Diazepam (VALIUM) dosages for treating Ritalin's side effects start from 5mg though I recommend you take between 10-20mg. Read up about benzo warnings, they cause amnesia which in turn can lead to dangerous drunk like behaviour, though at 20mg unlikely. DO NOT MIX ANY BENZODIAZEPINE WITH ALCOHOL, DOING SO INCREASES ITS EFFECTS INCLUDING AMNESIA BY A 3 FOLD.

Stay safe and NEVER rely on drugs for daily functioning.
