If your Macbook Pro has a DVD/CD drive just insert the game CD in the drive and follow the directions. If you do not have a DVD/CD drive you will need to copy the game to a flash drive or use an external DVD/CD drive to install it. Of course the game will have to be Mac compatible or it will not run on a Mac.

What are you talking about. Are you saying that you had a DVD drive and it stopped working. So your tried cleaning it and it did not work still. Well open up your computer make note of all the cords the DVD drive is plugged into. Put in a Dvd drive that you bought. If the old DVD drive connected to the top of the cord with a bunch of little cords then you should have no problem.

A DVD is a movie disc. A CD is a music disc. Your DVD drive cant recognise cds because it is probably from an old computer. try downloading whatever is on the CD from the internet.

Are you certain that it's a DVD drive? If you only have a CD drive it won't read DVD's, and you'll need to upgrade to a DVD drive. If it's more than a couple years old it's probably a CD drive. To find out, open the "Device Manager" on your computer, then DVD/CD-ROM drives, then expand your CD/DVD. (select the little + to the left) Click "properties" then examine the tabs across the top. If there are 5 tabs they probably say something like "General", "Properties", "Volumes", "Driver", "Details". If that's what it says, you have a CD-Drive and it won't read DVD's. On the other hand, if you have an additional tab that says "DVD Region", it's a DVD drive and it should be able to read DVD's.

if you have changed the drive in your xbox, or it has been changed, then your problem would most likely be from your drive key. the DVD ROM drive in your xbox has a key that is married if you will to the mother board. if you replace the drive the key from your old drive must be flashed to the new one. if this is not done the xbox will just work as a very expensive DVD player. if the drive has not been replaced, you may need to clean the laser. try a disc cleaner first and if that does not work you will have to take it apart and clean the laser manually. or replace it all together. hey m8 sorry about tdis but hw do i flashed the one CD drive?? but i am lost all its say is play DVD :( thx u

The simple answer is you can't. A DVD-r is physically different from a CD. You can use it in many ways like a CD, but in the end, it is not a CD, and you will only be able to use it in a DVD drive or player, regardless of what you do to it. They are apples and oranges. Both edible, but not really comparable beyond that.
How do you copy music from iTunes on old Mac to new Mac?
Finder >Your home folder > Music> iTunes > iTunes music. Depending how big this folder is, copy it onto a flash drive/external hard drive and paste it on to your new Mac, then go into iTunes and import the music folder. Should work. Good luck and congrats on the new Mac!
