leave the wiper stalk/control set down one stop from off when you switch off the engine, it will then work automatically when it rains and the engine is running
No, it is different because the Renault 5 gt turbo was made for the exhaust fumes to run through the turbo creating boost. On a non turbo version the piping will be made simply to leave the engine directly out of the exhaust.
Undo the engine mounts and gearbox bolts, remove radiator and grill, chain engine upto tree (make sure to leave about 10 meters slack so you get time to getup speed), start car in reverse and floor it. wallah engine on the ground.
leave it to someone with a garage and a ramp and all the proper tools...it's a nightmare
If when you start the Saab the "Check gearbox" comes on on the dashboard just leave the car running for about 2 minutes before you drive just revving the engine. This happens as the engine has got moisture inside it or is in a wet or damp or cold environment... have you got an automatic?

hi yes you can, took one out today 2001 mk 4 z16se engine drain, hoses off loom is a pain lots of it, mark if not sure, radiator fan off, gives you a bit more room to move, exhaust manifold off, leave gearbox as it is you dont have to touch it, good news!! carefull with fuel inj pipes and pipes from heater matrix tricky clips, starter comes out when loom released, hords of cable ties to renew on reasembly, but plenty of room to move engine away from gearbox to lift on block and tackle, tight to come off box, prize gently on jack after removal of belhousing bolts and engine mount from chassis, out it comes, not a bad job to do, use waterpump plyers to remove injector connections gently, and reversal to install, hope this was of help. john r
