No you cannot.

A displacement-time graph is concerned only with radial motion: displacement from a fixed point of reference. Any transverse motion is completely ignored. Thus, if you had a body going around in a circle about the point of reference, its speed would be recorded zero even though it is far from stationary.

Can you tell from a displacemnt-time graph wheather an object is stationary?

Of course yes. An object is stationary when the graph is horizontal in a displacement-time graph.

Can you tell from a velocity-time graph whether an object is stationary?

If the curve is horizontal, then the speed is constant. If that horizontal graph lies on the x-axis, then the constant speed is zero, and the object is stationary.

Does a vertical line on a distance time graph indicate that an object is stationary?

Object will change distance time graph when speed is changing. Distance time graph don't changed indicate of the stationary.

What would be the shape of a displacement versus time graph for an object?

the displacement mean the shortest distance between two points. the shape of displacement where the objects move and its also help us to tell the shape of displacement with the use of graph.

How do you convert displacement time graph into distance time graph?

Displacement is distance from starting point. If the object is always travelling in the same direction then they are the same. If the object turns round, the distance would still be increasing, however the displacement would be decreasing at the same rate.

How can you use graphs to calculate displacement of an object?

The answer will depend on what information is shown in the graph!

For an object that is speeding up in the positive direction what does the displacement vs. time graph look like?

a graph curving upward

What can you conclude about the state of motion of an object if displacement time graph is parallel to the time axis?

Said object is not moving

What is the shape of a displacement-time graph for an object that is constantly speeding up?

If the Object is falling at a constant velocity the shape of the graph would be linear. If the object is falling at a changing velocity (Accelerating) the shape of the graph would be exponential- "J' Shape.

Why the displacement time graph is parabola?

The nature of displacement-time graph is parabolic if the acceleration is constant(uniform). When acceleration is constant, displacement is directly proportional to the square of time which results into a parabolic structure of graph.

What is a displacement time graph?

A displacement time graph is a graph that consists of an x and y axis using displacement, by time.

What can you say about the motion of a body if its displacement time graph is a straight line?

The object is moving at a constant speed.
