The first logical step in purchasing a motorcycle is to get certified to drive one. Once that is completed then go to dealerships, test drive them and then purchase the one that fits your budget, wants and needs.
Depends on how your policy was set up since technically you allowed an unlicensed driver drive your vehicle.
You can test-drive them. When you test-drive a car or motorcycle, there will be no cops, and it is impossible to damage your car in any way. Other than test driving them, and checking the performance and price of them, you can't do anything with locked cars. Jake9998
Ride? or Drive? Legally, anyone that has a driver's license and takes the additional motorcycle endorsement (test) can drive a motorcycle. Rules about how to get a motorcycle endorsement vary in every state. Riding a motorcycle technically requires permission from your parents until you turn 18. Your parents are legally responsible for all your actions until you turn 18.
You usually do not need a motorcycle to get a permit. it is usually a written test, then to get your license you would do a road test on a motorcycle. If you are buying a motorcycle and only have your permit - you might want to bring it home on a trailer or some other way, so that you can learn to safely ride on familiar roads, and/or empty parking lots.
You can take the motorycycle test even if you don't have motorcycle yet.
What are you asking? I do, yes. That's only because I have a motorcycle policy for my motorcycle. You are not covered from an auto policy to drive a motorcycle.
it is harder because you have to know how to both drive a car and a motorcycle. for the test You have to have good balance, learn to shift gears, be able to compensate for quick turns, heavy loads, etc. You have to have more awareness while riding a motorcycle.
