yes. if it's a standard transmission, simply put the two shifters in neutral or the xfer in 2-hi. then turn the key on to release the steering, disconnect the battery (buy 2 quick connectors at Walmart for $10), use an alligator clamped dc-ac inverter to run some clamp on lights, or just use battery powered ones for the rear for towing. you do have front manual hubs right?

yes, again, if it's an automatic tranny. leave the main tranny in PARK, put the xfer case tranny in 2-hi, release the manual front hubs (or get a pair for $100+), unbolt the rear driveshaft (4 bolts, real simple), hanging it from the frame with a 'loop,' and finally use the same routine with the ignition key/battery/rear clamp-on lights as stated above.

on both, you may need a 'brake buddy' type of onboard (the raider) brake actuator since the towing vehicle may need extra braking going downhill, etc. they are from about $500-1000+, and most are easily installed. you'll probably need the clamp-on rear (red) lights to be legal, though there are wiring harnesses (about $80) that can hookup to 'some' wiring connectors on motorhomes and some larger trucks. they will run brake, running and turn signals on your toad (the raider). hope this helps, and the information is correct, as I've searched for it for over a year. finally answered by some pros on a web-based Mitsubishi/raider/pajero/shogun board. i am using the above procedure for the automatic tranny model. works like a charm...
