Yes, but you should have the Towing Package, which I believe just adds an extra cooling fan to the engine. I use a ball hitch to tow a 10x6 Utility Trailer (which at times has been loaded with heavy stuff!) and it works great. Place the heaviest items over the axle of the trailer so there's not too much tongue-weight, which can weigh down the back end of your van. The Silhouette is rated to tow 3500lbs.
