Nope, no way, abolutely not.
In most states, you can trade in the vehicle without it being registered. However, you do need a TITLE to prove that you own the vehicle.
Not without a release from the loan company.
yes, as co-signer you only guarantee the loan in case the primary defaults, they own the car.
I had this issue with Carmax. As long as the vehicle is registered to you, you can trade it in without having a copy of your registration. Carmax has access to DMV records and they can verify who owns the vehicle. I'm speaking for California transactions. Not sure about out of state.
No. Every vehicle has to have a title , I believe after 1972. The vehicle cannot be transferred unless there is a clean title to it.
A medallion signature guarantee can be done at most banks. Also businesses like "e trade" or "Scott trade" will provide them for subscribers.
Can you trade a vehicle if your only source of income is unemployment?
If you have no money to pay down on this vehicle or do not have a vehicle to trade in that you have no business buying a new van. You should be buying a used van.
NO. He will give you the difference in the pay off on the trade in and the trade in value. Stop right where you are. Sell the vehicle yourself and pay off the loan. Then go buy another car without a trade in. The price of the car will drop as soon as you tell them you have no trade in. You will be money ahead. Trade in value is basically wholesale value. You can sell the car for far more than that yourself.
Yes it does, I just traded my vehicle for another vehicle even trade and didn't have to pay taxes on it in Florida.
