Yes, assuming it is original and is not already trademarked on similar goods or copyright protected. However, you should realize that your trademark only protects the saying when applied to the T-shirts (or similar apparel) and would give you no particular right to prevent others from using the identical (or similar) trademark on unrelated goods or services (such as commercial goods or puffing some blog).

You can't "own" a phrase. You can't copyright a phrase for the purpose of getting it legal protection across the board. You can apply for a trademark on a short phrase by going through the US Patents and Trademark Office, however. Thing like "I'm lovin' it" for McDonald's - registering that as a trademark would prevent say, Burger King, from using it in their promotions or ads. But it won't prevent other people from using the phrase, and if I want to go around saying it or writing it in articles or what have you, I'm perfectly able to do so.
Well people are saying the world is going to end in fire, flood or ice but scientist are saying the world is going to end in a fire

Lawrence Oates - aware that his failing health was putting his co-expeditioneers in jeopardy, he left the tent in a blizzard saying "I am just going outside and may be some time"
They were saying "Iwonder if anyone's going to wonder what we were saying today 42 years from now"

Personally, I am a jeans and tshirts kind of girl. I like straight legged jeans that are a little too long, and usually just plain black tshirts. I have several of each. My favorite shoes are black low top Converse or sandals.
