A drill press is a large drilling machine that stands on a very heavy steel base. A 3" or 4" steel column extends up either about 6 feet for a floor model or 3 for a bench model. At the top of this column is an elongated box with the motor at the back, driving a shaft with a 4 tier pulley above it. The front of the box contains a hollow shaft with a spindle inside it and a drill chuck on the lower end. In the middle of the column, a steel table, usually about 15 " square can move up and down the column to adjust work height.
'Liquid Hold-up' in a distillation column refers to down-coming liquid (liquid traffic travelling down the column) becoming trapped in the column's packing material. Packing material is used in distillation columns to increase the contact efficiency between the down-coming liquid stream(s) and the up-flowing vapour stream(s). The packing materials do this by increasing the surface-to-volume ratio over which the vapour and liquid streams come into contact in order to promote separation between the more volatile and less volatile components in the column. The down-coming liquid can become trapped in the packing material for a number of reasons. One example is when liquid becomes trapped in crack formations or fractures of the packing material (which can occur during normal or non-steady state column operation). When the liquid becomes trapped in these cracks/crevices, contact with the up-flowing vapour stream becomes non-existent and the liquid is literally 'held up' from travelling down the column.

It is a semi-automatic or automatic machine that is designed to copy articles from a pre=made master model or piece. There are several different types, some using electronic computer logic! an elementary trace type is the Lathe used to duplicate keys you can find in any locksmith shop, the tracer follows the up and down patterns of the key and cuts them ( lathe portion) in on the blank key, securely mounted. These things are well over a hundred years old.
Al-Jazari,a Kurdish engineer, invented the conversion of the up and down piston movement in a cylinder into rotary motion.
If the gun is a "take-down model" The serial number will be stamped on both the barrel and the action. It would be faster for you go to the link below to see what a "take-down model is then for me to explain.
Serial is a number. For example, a car has a model and year to identify it by made and model, and then it has a serial number to further identify it down to it's individual number. It's similar to 1964 Aston Martin DB5 serial number 007.

It is located on the bottom forward edge of the receiver frame (forward of the loading port). If your Model 1897 is a Take Down model, it will also be stamped on the bottom of the Take Down extension ring (and will be located directly above the serial number stamped into the receiver frame). Under the extended lever. Pull the lever down, turn the gun upside down and there it is.

What condition is it in, and what is the serial number? Is it a Take Down or a Solid Frame? Bert H.

Yes, Amana makes at least one range that meets your requirements. The model number is AGR3311WDW, it's a 30" model.
Most likely the model tag is installed somewhere on the back of the unit. Try looking at the top right corner. It should be visible after you have pulled the unit away from the wall. When you find it, you should write your model number down on the instructions manual that was supplied. Of course, the model number should also be in that manual.
