I wouldn't attempt to underpin your house without building approval form your local council. The main issue we had when our house was underpinned was that unless you stick with the insurance company who are paying for the underpinning you will not get any building cover from any insurance company in the UK. They will not touch the property at all! I have written to the insurance ombudsman and my MP about this and there is not one company that will take on a property that has been underpinned. We now have to pay a huge sum each year to an American Insurance company but even they will not now take any property in the UK that has been underpinned. Think extremely carefully before having it done. If you sell nobody will be able to get a mortgage on the propert because they will not get any buildings cover. If it needs doing sell-up and move beofre you go down a very difficult and ecxpensive path. Do not believe these property developers you see on TV, because they do not always know everything. PLease heed my advice.

The Steps Required For Decking Planning Permission?

The requirements for decking planning permission can vary from one region to the next. The process usually involves submitting detailed plans and material lists as well as exact information about where the deck will be situated. Regulations could prevent a deck from being built based on the height, obstructions to neighboring views and even the types of decking materials that are being used. Some of the more strict commissions will actually require an individual to stand before the community for questioning during a regular meeting to ensure that there are no objections from the general public.
