You can simply just delete the partition with windows 7 on it, if you installed Windows 8 on a different partition making sure you have a backup of all the files you want to keep. Also make sure that you can boot from the windows 8 partition. Ie, a nice blue interface comes up when you switch the computer on that let's you choose between windows 7 and windows 8.If you didn't install it on a different partition. All the files that need to be modified have already been modified as part of the upgrade process and no further action is needed.
windows explorer is not the same as internet explorer. you use IE for browsing the internet and WE is used to access all your files. ie if you delete WE you will have no icons, taskbar or anything to view your files in
Hi,I know quite a bit about running home computers and even for me (Hmm) removing the WINDOWS FAMILY FILTER seemed extremely tricky as there are indexed files to have to find and delete (PS. Kit note: using a Laptop Fujitsu Siemens Amilo 2008 build on new Windows 7) - keeping it short nothing worked until I downloaded "Revo Uninstaller" a free download; here's the link -------------- http://www.revouninstaller.com/ ------------- make sure you remove and delete everything!!!You can always choose to upload and or not upload anything you need via the Windows Update Installer later on.Hope this helps!!! I was so annoyed and then delighted at getting rid of it I had to let other people know too (and NO I don't work for Revo Uninstaller!).GOOD LUCK ALLGo To "Control Panel" then go to "Add Remove Programs" then click on "Windows live Essentails" there will be a command Button on the right hand side that says "Change/Remove" click that button a window will Pop up and off you the options "Uninstall" or "Repair" Uninstall is Selected by Default click "Continue". The uninstall Wizard will ask you what Components do you want to uninstall place a tick in "Family Filter" then click "Continue" once it has uninstalled it will ask you to Reboot as allways do that. And your Problem is Solved!! Please Note This works in windows xp and vista Also You Must Be A Admin of that computer to uninstall Programs and the Family Filter it self has nothing to do with Internet Explorer it's just the family filter. ============================================================ Improvement over the above answer: If you have windows vista. Windows live family filter software can be easily removed from Control panel> Programs and features>Windows live essentials> uninstall > Select Family filter and uninstall. Ofcourse, you need to be an admin of the computer. And there is no need to reboot. May be it is possible in Windows XP as well !!!!
IE 6.0
You can not install IE6 on Windows Vista.
