Providing the Mac running Tiger has an Intel processor then the Snow Leopard upgrade will work.
no, it takes millions of years for an animal to evolve and they wont become a different species all together.
No, the latest operating system is Mountain Lion. Snow Leopard was replaced by Lion and then Mountain Lion. Snow Leopard came out June 2008, Lion was released on Oct, 2010, and Mountain Lion was released July, 2012.

According to the Apple website, Mac OSX Mountain Lion can be purchased for $19.99 if you are already running Lion or Snow Leopard. You can purchase directly through the Mac Apple Store icon on your computer.
To do this, you will need to install 10.6 (Snow Leopard). A Snow Leopard disc can be purchased online, or at a local computer store. Once this is installed, you can purchase OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion) from the App Store that is built into Snow Leopard, and download it directly from there. Interestingly enough, Apple no longer releases their operating systems on discs, and instead sells them exclusively on the App Store. Cheers!
It would be the leopard against the mountain lion , the leopard would win because of the strength and speed of it.
lion, tiger, panther, jaguar, puma, cougar, leopard, cheetah, mountain lion, lynx
You have Leopard which is (10.5.8). One of the requirements for installing Lion is that you already have Snow Leopard (OSx 10.6) or later installed. The main reason is that Lion is available only via the Mac App Store, and the Mac App Store debuted in Mac OSx Snow Leopard (10.6.6). In other words, you need Snow Leopard just to purchase and download Lion. So you are going to have to purchase and install Snow Leopard before you can proceed to purchase and install Lion. If you bought your Mac at a retail store then go back and ask them for a free updrade to Snow Leopard. They may just give it to you for free if you agree to purchase Lion which should cost you around $20. Does not hurt to ask. If you purchased it online then contact Apple for the upgrade to Snow Leopard.
Yes, but you have to buy it. 10.4.11 is Tiger while 10.5 is Leopard, different versions. I suggest waiting for the next generation Snow Leopard coming out shortly (September 2009) which is $29 and upgrades the Leopard.
Yes, they are both types of cats, or in taxonomical terms, they are felids.

Definitely get the 2012. It will have the latest operating system Mountain Lion installed. That is unless you can get a really good deal on a 2010. You can upgrade to Mountain Lion for $19.99.
