Regardless of rim size, 235/75 is the biggest that will fit stock. I'd stick with 15s though, 16s just look silly. They rub sometimes in the back under heavy load, but not a big deal.

yes you can as long as you have a big lift kit put in
Buddy of mine has 32's but if your willing to do some cutting you can get 33's
not without a lift. 30's or 31's will fit as long as you don't articulate too much. You can trim to fit them better and 33's will require a 3 or 4 inch lift with minor trimming. If you go that route you will also need a transfer case drop or slip yoke eliminator to fix your drive line angle.
My 95 GC LTD needed new tires, shocks and wheels (the oe wheels were oxidized to the point that the bead wouldn't seal). So.... 15 inch American Racing chrome wheels, new shocks and a set of BF Goodrich AT/ta tires in size 2357515. I tried to go to a 30X950 tire but they rubbed even with the shock update. I believe that, unless you lift several inches from the stock suspension, 2357515 tires are the largest you can go. And the BF Goodrich tires are really nice looking and performing on this vehicle. When these tires wear out I'll be doing a 3 - 4 inch lift and heading to some larger tires just for the appearance. Good luck !!!
No! needs to be at least a 3 in lift or they will rub the fenders.
no
Jeep did not make a Cherokee Laredo, they did make a grand Cherokee Laredo, and you can fit 31 inch tires.
It depends on the diameter or the tire. Some sizes of 16inch tires will fit, others will not... you can fit up to 29inch in diameter with no real problems and with no lift kit.
