We have an Old Man Emu two inch lift on a 1999 Grand Cherokee and use BFG LT 235/85x16 load range E tires. The fronts do rub on the inner fender some, but we've been happy with the result.
The tire size for a Jeep Cherokee is 35x12.5 on 15x8s with a 6-in long arm lift. The rims can be 10 1/2 inches wide but no wider or the tires will hit suspension parts.
No.
Jeep Cherokee's are unibody. You cannot install a body lift.
If you need to purchase a lift kit for your Jeep Cherokee, there are some websites that you can order the kit from. 4 Wheel Drive Hardware, and Jeep 4x4 Center, just to name a few.
No! needs to be at least a 3 in lift or they will rub the fenders.

With a 2" lift these would clear.
I hope you mean 2 inch spring spacer lift as the Cherokee is a unibody and can not do a body lift. But with 2 inch lift you should be able to fit 30 x 9.5 x 15's with no rubbing at all. 31's will fit but will rub a liitle on hard turns. And if offroading will rub alot under compression.
I own a 1996 Grand Cherokee Limited and it has 245/75/R16 tires on it. No lift and no problems or rubbing. It is a 30.5 inch tire.Answer235/75R15 or basically a 29 inch tall tireI put 31 inch tires on mine with a little bit of rubbing but not too much
I HAVE A 91 JEEP CHEROKEE LAREDO AND I PUT 31'S UNDER MY STOCK JEEP SO I WOULD GO WITH 31'' TIRES THATS THE LARGEST THAT YOU CAN PUT ON A STOCK CHEROKEE WITH OUT PUTTING A LIFT KIT ON IT AND MINE HAVENT RUBED YET.
Me friend has a 1995 (same model as yours) jeep grand Cherokee with a 4in lift and it seems to be fine. I have a 1998 grand Cherokee and am thinking about putting some spacers in it.

you can easily go with a 30 inch truck tire, 31 would be pushing it without a lift.
