2 Cycle oil does not "burn" so that it leave behind a oil film when the gas burns off. you may see the words "ash-less" on some brands of 2 cycle oil. 4 cycle oil will burn and turn sticky, gumming up your engine.
1 quart of outboard / 2 cycle motor oil to 6 gallons of gas
It should be 2 Cycle oil mixed with gas. You wouldn't have any oil to change unless your talking about the oil for the gear box.
If it's a two cycle engine that mixes oil with gas, no. If it's a four cycle engine, yes.
I have a 1984 90hp Mercury outboard and the fuel mixture is 50:1 which is one pint of 2 cycle motor oil for every 6 gallons of gas.
I always run my 2 cycle outboards at a 50 to 1 ratio. also be sure you are using outboard 2 cycle. not all 2cycle oil is the same!
An 1985 model, 25 hp Mercury outboard requires a 50:1 fuel, to 2 cycle oil ratio.
yes you can!
The fuel to oil ratio for a 9hp Mercury outboard is 50:1, roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
The 1981 model, 35 hp Johnson outboard requires a 50:1 ratio, one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
My 2003 3.3hp outboard motor is 50:1 mixture.
50:1
An Evinrude 25hp outboard, 1985 year model, requires a 50:1 fuel, to 2 cycle oil ratio. This is roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
