The recommended oil is 5w30 full synthetic oil.
Absolutely not. Briggs & Stratton recommends you use nothing heavier than SAE 30 weight oil. Briggs says that SAE 5w30 Full Synthetic provides the best protection, easy starting, and less oil combustion in all temperatures. That is exactly what I would use.
5w-30 is best to use but yes you can use 10w -30. Any w30 oil will work but 5w30 is recommended
An SAE 5w30 full synthetic will provide excellent protection under all conditions. Look for the new API SN rating vs. the previous SM rating.
30 w if the temp. does not exceed 80 degrees. over that you my want to use 10/30 Using 10w30 at higher temperatures will increase oil consumption and likely void your warranty. Use straight 30 w at high temps, and 5w30 or 10w30 at lower temps (40 or below). An alternative is 5w30 synthetic, which is warranty-rated for use at all temperatures.
5w30
You can put almost anything in it, but the B&S engine on my lawnmower contains 30-weight Castrol HD. Don't use standard multi-weights like 5w30 or 10w30. Synthetics are ok, but standard automotive oil does not function properly at high temp ranges that air cooled engines produce. It'll void your warranty, too!
The engine uses 5W30. It can be synthetic or conventional. The engine uses 5W30. It can be synthetic or conventional.

10-28-09 What the heck is 6.02 oil? A safe bet is always SAE straight 30 weight, heavy duty. Detergent is ok. Briggs synthetic 5w30 is best, but expensive. Using 5w30 or 10w30 auto oil is iffy, it doesn't handle heat very well. If you must, make sure your engine is well ventilated and clear of debris. It will also void your warranty in a high temp application...
Yes you can consider using 5w30 oil in your motorbike engine, but it depends upon season...
5w20, 5w30, 15w40. It depends on the engine and operating conditions.5w20, 5w30, 15w40. It depends on the engine and operating conditions.
