What kind of Jeep? And wouldn't it be easier to use a 94 jeep on a 97 frame? And why would you want to do that anyway?
Serious answer is: Since you posted this in Grand Cherokee I can tell you that these vehicles are made with a unibody so there really isn't anything under them like a frame. But with a torch anything is possible.

NO, there is enough of a difference between the YJ and TJ that the tops do not match up properly.
Anywhere on the frame, engine, or body (if the body is grounded to the frame in any way).
My 97 2.5l has 2. 1 right below the header and another right after the cat. in a 94 though there is only one.
94 + 97 = 191...

They are in a way the same thing. The Jeep "SPORT" is a trim package of the jeep wrangler. A Jeep "TJ" Is the frame type TJ's were made from 97(produced in 96) until 2006 when they were replaced by the jeep JK. The wrangler before 1997 was the jeep YJ. Other trim packages in the 97 to 06 years where the SE, Sport, Sahara, Rubricon.
NO, the 97 is a TJ and the 94 is a YJ, the tops are very different. Same shape overall, but the bows connect differently, as does the top itself.
No. A 1997 does not use a coil rail.
