no because its pee can go through the box
I would have to say fleece is better. It cuts down on the dust for guinea pigs, the bedding does not get stuck in their fur, it is easy on their feet, and the top always stays dry. Note: Do not use regular detergent to wash fleece. Use vinegar and a gentle, scent free detergent (like oxy clean or tide free). Also, fleece is more effective if your guinea pigs' cage is large and there are not many guinea pigs (1-3 guinea pigs). MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING OFF THE FLEECE BEFORE YOU WASH. Your guinea pigs will be as happy as ever with fleece.
MAke a maze out of cardboard and have your guinea pig run through it.
petco and petsmart are good places to get it but there are more.
it will be easier cleaning the cage with the bottum covered every were and it will be more cozy for your guinea pig. . . hope i helped :) thanks for your question!
They should be on fleece or bedding like carefresh. To find out more about guinea pig care, vist guineapigcages.com
Yes as long as you clean it regularly and wash it at least once a week. The best thing to use is fleece though, its warm and the guinea pigs love it! - Guinea pig owner -
In a way, yes. Guinea pigs need to keep their teeth short and they chew on things to achieve this. Wood is sometimes recommended for this, but cardboard works too. They may even shred the tube for nesting.
Guinea pigs need somewhere to hide, constant supply of hay(timothy hay preferably), a water bottle, plain guinea pig pellets, and toys. They also need fresh fruit and veg everyday, and for the bedding they should either have wood chips or fleece(i prefer fleece as wood chips could cause breathing problems)
Yes! Definately! I know of guinea-pigs that eat it all the time! It is normal behaviour and is simply alike to us humans eating biscuits. Don't worry! Other weird things that guinea-pigs will eat include; Wood Their cage! Newspaper PS. Never attempt to feed guinea-pigs, (or any other creature for that matter), any substance that may be regarded as harmful.
Of course it's fine! You just need to clean out the cage more often.
it depends on what cage you have in my opinion. If you have a cage from the pet store i think bedding but if u have a c&c cage where you can make it as long as you want fleece is the best because you only vacuum and replace the sheets. seriously think fleece is better though
If your guinea pig sneezes it means it could be allergic to the fleece. Keep it away and buy it a different blanket. If that doesn't work, it just means that theres dust in the air.
