Cricut Imagine cartridges are layered full coloured images for printing (in colour) and cutting on an imagine machine. They are smaller and ONLY work in the imagine machine. However it has a second slot that features the other size cartriges from the other machines.The cricut Lite cartridges are regualr size cartridges that work in all the machines but have fewer images and options that regular cricut cartridges. They also cost about half of regular cartridges and are great if you just need a small number of images for a specific project.Hope that helps.
