There is generally little difference between pool pumps so long as its the same sise
try the following site there is a silica filter there with the number 0-1740-xxx it may be the one you re looking for http://doughboy-parts.com
The connection on top is from the filter inlet (discharge of the pump). The connection on the opposite side of this one is the filter outlet back to the pool. The connection below the filter inlet is for backwashing the filter.
The filter is simply clogging with the junk you are picking up. Somewhere there should be an instruction to set the Silica II to "To Waste" when vacuuming. Your alternative is to keep flushing the filter every few minutes, which will use just as much water and take much more time. This process will lower the water level of the pool, however, so you should have it really full to begin with and be ready to replace the water discharged.
I"m not sure what a Doughboy is, I'll take a stab that it is a filter system. I have added DE through the pump intake. I put a little at a time in a bucket and dilute it then pour it into the skimmer. As the water flows through the filter, the DE powder adheres to the 'fingers' that hang down in my filter allowing the filter to filet out more minute particles than the clothe 'fingers' alone.. Some also use DE powder in conjunction with sand filtration to improve filtration. I think it causes backwashing more often, then the DE powder ends up in the yard or wherever the backwash goes. Good Luck
In most vehicles, there is no filter in the fuel pump. in some cars the fuel filter is mounted in the tank near the pump.
You need to regroup your thoughts and ask the question in a different way so that it makes sense. There is no piping in a pool pump. Do you mean to and from the pool to the equipment pad? Between the pump and the filter or between the filter and the heater? You have to be specific. K
oil pump is inside engine and oil filter is on the outside
Only a larger filter (100 micron) should be placed before the pump or suction side. A smaller finer filter should go between the pump and the carb. Too small of a filter before the pump can lead to inadequate fuel flow rate to the pump.
No, only fuel filter is part of the pump in the tank. No, only fuel filter is part of the pump in the tank.
a fish filter cleans the water and a pump pushes it through a fish filter cleans the water and a pump pushes it through
Fuel pump and filter are located at the engine, it is a mecahnical pump the filter should be right on top of the manifold
Plugged pump, very dirty filter. Do you actually mean the filter or the pump. Filter is big tank. Pump is small unit with motor attached.
