It depends on reader. If you reader can supports OBD I and has appropriate adapter then you are good to go.
OBD1
It is reset with a OBD2 scan tool, after the repair of the system.
It's behind the plastic cover shield, behind the steering wheel.
On Camry 1998 all sensors are OBD 2 because it's a standard. You need to specify which sensor you are talking about.
The port should be under the steering wheel at very end of the plastic shield.
I have toyota camry 2003se. There is no communication obd2. Scan doesn't connect. Tested all wires, from obd2 connector to ecu, replaced ecu to test, ecu ok.
you need a obd2 compatible scanner to reset the light.you can not do it any other way sorry hth Dave
Repair the problem that turned it on and then clear the code with an OBD2 scanner/code reader
1993 honda accord is obd1 not obd2
An OBD2 car diagnostic reader is used to diagnose any problems that a car might have and it saves time and money. For example, if there is an engine check light on, the OBD2 car diagnostic reader can tell what is the problem so it can be fixed as soon as possible.
1993 is OBD 1
The obd2 plug is under the knee board (under the column).
