On Camry 1998 all sensors are OBD 2 because it's a standard. You need to specify which sensor you are talking about.
It's behind the plastic cover shield, behind the steering wheel.
OBD1
It is reset with a OBD2 scan tool, after the repair of the system.
The port should be under the steering wheel at very end of the plastic shield.
It depends on reader. If you reader can supports OBD I and has appropriate adapter then you are good to go.
I have toyota camry 2003se. There is no communication obd2. Scan doesn't connect. Tested all wires, from obd2 connector to ecu, replaced ecu to test, ecu ok.
no they didnt have them till 1996 with the obd2
you need a obd2 compatible scanner to reset the light.you can not do it any other way sorry hth Dave
The OBDII on a Toyota Tacoma 1998 is located on the driver side under the console right above the gas pedal... I should know I own a Tacoma 1998.
OBD2
obd2 means on board diagnostics failed not o2 sensor, 1st have to figure out why obd2 failed.
The OBD2 code P1155 on a Toyota Solara typically refers to an issue with the air-fuel ratio sensor, which is located upstream of the catalytic converter, integrated into the exhaust manifold or near the engine. Specifically, it is often positioned before the first catalytic converter in the exhaust system. This sensor monitors the air-fuel mixture and provides data to the engine control unit for optimal performance. If experiencing this code, it's advisable to check the sensor and its wiring for faults.
