Yes. The 7A power supply is the maximum amount of current available, it is not the same as the amount that is actually used by the laptop. This is like asking could you use a firehose for a drink of water. Yes, it would allow you to take more than a cup, but you could still take just a cup.

No. You have to have 19v and 5a

Is it a problem to use an adaptor with an output of 4.74 amps and 19 volts when the Laptop's input is 3.42 amps and 19 volts?

No problem whatsoever. As long as Voltage is the same and the supply Amps is greater than the laptop's Amps, all will be well. The Voltage will be supplied no matter what your laptop needs, creating an overload if the supply is greater than the demand. The Amperage will vary automatically depending on your laptop's need. There would be a problem if you used a 19V 2A power supply.

What is the function of power supply connector?

On a desk top, it connects power from the outlet on the wall to the power supply in the computer. On a laptop. It converts the mains AC power at high voltage to a low voltage DC. Most laptops use around 19v DC. This is then used to charge the battery in the laptop. When the battery is full, the laptop is then powered by the mains supply, leaving the battery in standby. On a desk top the power supply is inside the cabinet. On a laptop it is separate. This saves weight and space when using the laptop totally portable and running on battery

Do all Toshiba Satellite Pro L series have the same side power cable?

Yes. In fact, all Toshiba's have the same power cable. This is so if you have lost your power cable, you can buy a new one instead of having to find a exact one for your laptop. Not ALL Toshiba's A Toshiba Satellite 1110 has a 19v 4.2A supply A Toshiba Equium A60 has a 19v 6.5A supply and the input plugs are different sizes. Check underneath, on the makers label to see how much current and voltage is required. Using a lower current supply with a large demand, will fry the power supply. Also check the coax plug size and centre pin.

What would happen if you used a 19V 3.16Amp power adapter on something that called for a 12V 3Amp power adapter power supply?

You would overload and damage the device and/or the adapter.

Which voltages are supported by a Toshiba power supply?

The input voltage range for the Toshiba power supply is AC 100V - 240V. The output voltage is DC 19V / output current is 4.74A. This power supply comes with a power cord and packaging will state voltage recommended for the product.

What is power rating for power supply of a toshiba satellite L305?

This is not a desktop computer and does not have a PSU, power supply unit. AC Adapter75W (19V 3.95A) Auto-sensing, 100-240V / 50-60Hz inputBatteryLi-Ion (4000mAh, 6-Cell)

Why are Power supplys for laptops 19v instead of 12v?

This is due to the fact that the Li-ion needs to be charged while the computer is running. The charger will input a higher voltage to charge the battery while the 19v is pushed through a buck converter on the motherboard that outputs a regulated 12v to power the motherboard. This is neccessary to efficiently charge you laptop battery.

How many volt power supply instrumentation amplifier required?

it depends on if its household or portable, household would depends on where ur located in jamaica it would be 110v, for portability both here and abroad it would be 12-19v. i have a portable 800watt power for my household entertainment and its power supply is 12v, over 7amps.

Can you use a charger on a device with a different milliwattage?

generally yes. if the voltage is the same. the current however may effect the device if the current is greater then the main device's listed current. For example if you try to use a 20v 3.42A power supply instead an individual laptops power supply rated at a 19v 2.5A the life of the device will be shorted by a lot. as they have sensitive circuits. I have fried a motherboard's power distribution sector by doing this. but i had a backup laptop of the same make/model so it didn't bother me. it lasted about 6 months after i initially/deliberately used the other power supply. if its a small difference the life span wont be drastically effected. if the power supply has too little current it will need to work harder shortening the power supplies life span. using the correct power supply will save a lot of time and hassle.

Can you use 15V 4A adaptor for your laptop instead of 19V 3.42A?

No. The machine will notice that it isn't getting all the required voltage and won't run.

Can you charge your 19V 3A laptop using a car battery and a 3.9ohm 35W resistor?

No, because a car battery only has a 12 volt DC output.
