The type of filtration greatly depends on the size of your tank. I would in any case recommend a wet/dry "sump" filter. It will increase your total tank water volume. If that is out of the question I would not go for anything less than a canister filter. Salwater aquarium supplies and equipment can be expensive but i wouldn't do anything less. I have tried taking the penny pincher approach to filtration but ended up with a tank of dead fish (very expensive fish). Make sure to cycle your tank completley before adding fish. Nitrates WILL kill your fish. good luck!
No. You need to use RO (reverse osmosis) water. Most pet stores that have saltwater supplies sell it between .50 and .75 a gallon. If you can't get the RO water, you can use distilled water from the grocery store.
The water composition in two environment is largely different (different minerals) and so, while a specie of fish can adapt to salt water, it may not necessary be able to adapt to fresh water since they can't pull out the same type of mineral to live in different waters.
Some fish however, can live in both environments (salmon)
So no, MOST of the fish is NOT able to live in different water environments
That depends on the filter, but in general you can.
Most tank filters are simply designed to remove debris suspended in the water.
Many have activated carbon as well to absorb smaller impurities that would not be trapped in any filter.
Some filters are designed for salter fish or for reef tanks.
However, a freshwater filter will work, but it may not be the best filter for the tank.
Provided it has been cleaned out properly there is no logical reason why it should not be perfectly good working on a fresh water tank.
Yes, you can find them where they sell salt water fish.
Fresh water
Most salt water fish will die if placed in fresh water.
Well it depends on the fish. If it is a fresh water fish then it lives in fresh water, salt water fish live in salt water.
Fresh water.
fresh water .my fish are 16 yrs old
It depends on the type of fish. If it is a saltwater fish than it lives in salt water, but if it is a fresh water fish than it lives in freshwater.
Not really salt water fish can adapt to fresh water but it will take a while.
There are fish that are commonly called "Bream" in both fresh and salt water.
It is a marine fish found in the atlantic ocean.
fresh, its a tetra if its this one
Flashlight fish is lived in salt water.
They're freshwater fish.
