Any green (or blue) background can be used for Chromakeying (Green screening). It can be green cardboard sheets, a wall painted green or a tablecloth. It needs to be smooth and a consistent colour - a badly stained tablecloth could be a problem. The secret for good results is the lighting. A couple of good lights aimed at the green screen from the left and right sides to give a flat even light and another on the subject in front of the screen. Outside in bright even sunlight is ideal if no extra lighting is available.

It is referred to as 'true green'.

The concept behind a green screen or a blue screen is that the color is not one found in skin tone, so that when you electronically remove it from the photo, you don't lose any important detail.

Modern chroma keyers have flexible set up to allow a range of different colors to be used as a background. As long as the wall is a consistent color and evenly lit, there is no reason why it cannot be used instead of a proprietary green cloth.

"Green screen" is the common term for chroma keying. By shooting a subject against a green or blue background, the background can later be cut out of the image and the subject overlaid on a new background.

When the technique was first used, it was important to have specific colors in order to remove the color cleanly as the signal was processed. Modern chroma keyers are far more flexible so a precise green color isn't normally needed.

However, many fabrics and paints are not pure colors. Using a dark green background may well work without any problems but if the color contains high levels of blue or red, it may prove difficult to isolate the background from the foreground. There are two ways to be sure you have a color that will work. One is to purchase green screen material from a broadcast supplies company. The other is to carry out a test on a background in advance and see how how well it works. In many cases, a dark green will work well but don't leave it until you are shooting your big production to find out.

Why use white screen to display by projector?

If you used a green or red screen, whatever you are looking at being projected would be that colour. Like when you draw with colours you use white paper instead of coloured and when you do use coloured the colours you are drawing with do not show up as well as they would on white.

A red light source and a green light source shine on a white screen what color will the screen be?

What are some different ways to make a green screen?

Green screen or chroma is based on the complementary color of your scene, green is the best complementary color for most skin tones and that is why is used. you also can use blue, depends on your scene, if every thing is black you can use white, if everything is green you can use red. Look for the chroma difference of your scene.

How do you use your own green screen?

Well, you need to hook up the screen to the computer, and you can then add images and videos. The green pigment is an unnatural color, so you need to make sure nothing else you are filming is that shade of green. Then, use your software to select an image and the green screen shade, and then the image will appear when you use the software.
