sorry, but no. A lot of the apps use six axis control and/ or touch features, which only the i-phone, touch, and i-pad have.

Forget about iTunes. Download SharePod. You will love it. We have been using this program for three years now. Works will all the iPods as well as iPhone. SharePod will not remove anything from the iPod unless you do so manually.

well the earlier ipods use is mainly for music but has extras like alarms, games etc. but the more recent ipods e.g ipod touches / iphones also have music but also feature apps, internet, maps, photos, camera, itunes store, app store etc. And the iphone is a phone aswell.
