Please, if you can possibly help it, don't use that crap in your engine-sooner or later the leak is going to get worse anyway so why not get to the problem now. That stuff will clog up your radiator, heater core, and any small water passages in your engine-trust me on this!
Yes. 10w30 is recommended but it takes 8 Qts instead of your standard 5 Qts.
You install "stop leak" in the radiator per the MFG directions.Dont use barsleak use a chemical called therma weld it work perfect for me its about 300$ and worth it!!!!

The 3.5 is known for that. They just burn a little at a time. I have had mine for 5 years always have this issue. Doesn't burn much, doesn't leak.
