In business the best between dot com and dot co dot uk, is "dot co dot uk."
Whatever you want really. There is just something perhaps more glamorous about having a .com address, and it makes it appear more worldwide. However, if you live in the UK I would suggest a co.uk one, especially if you are a retail company, as customers may be put off by the .com.
co.uk means it is a UK only based address, COM means it's international It means .co.uk is the UK and the .com is in America
Open Office does not use the COM. Instead, the website uses the ORG.
