This seems counter productive as Suboxone is used to help withdrawl from Heroin. lf you are experiencing withdrawl while using Suboxone, or when tapering down from Suboxone, talk to your doctor.
lf you have been using Suboxone without a doctor's prescription, and are now without it, talk to a doctor, a pharmacist or an addiction clinic. Heroin would be your worst option to help with withdrawl.
At home help for withdrawl symptoms: imodium, ASA or ibuprofen or naproxin, something to help you sleep such as Benadryl or Gravol or better yet, a prescription sedative from your doctor. Note - do not use Nyquil to help you sleep.

Oxycontin and Heroin withdrawals are very similar..........Opiates are opiates...Your question works in theory, but not in real life....The only way that is possible to beat the Oxycontin the way you describe is to use Methadone for 3 to 4 days after stopping the Oxycontin............No more. Do not become addicted to Methadone, it is ten times worse than Heroin or Oxycontin withdrawals when you quit

I would recomend seeing a doctor before attempting this. They can give you subutex or suboxone to help the withdrawals, be warned they are TERRIBLE!!

I'm not quite sure what you mean. if he had no drugs in jail then yes he would have withdrawn. suboxone is used so you do not withdraw so when he took that he should have been fine. and of course when you use h again you are fine. as far as withdrawals go anyway.

How long after you use Oxycontin can you take suboxone?
It really depends on the individual. If you do not have a physical addiction yet to opiates and do not experience withdrawal symptoms from opiates, then it really doesn't matter. Nothing will happen because your body doesn't need the opiates that have filled your receptors (and will be kicked off those receptors by suboxone) in order to maintain normal function. You'll simply not be high at the very worst. If you are physically dependant on opiates and experience withdrawal symptoms from stopping use or from the lack of access to opiates, then you should wait until full withdrawal symptoms manifest. In some people this can be up to 24 hours or longer. Again, it is based on the individual. Taking suboxone prior to entering full withdrawal symptoms will cause Precipitated Withdrawal Syndrome and you will not only go immediately into withdrawal, it will be worse than normal withdrawals because of the sudden onset as opposed to the gradual onset. Plus you won't be able to use either opiates (unless an extreme amount is used which raises overdose and other problems) or suboxone to relieve the withdrawals for between 12 and 24 hours.

No Suboxone will not block the use of opiates on a drug test. It will still show up, but you won't get the feeling from the opiates. You will however get into trouble if you are being prescribed Suboxone.
