No, there is powdered milk and sugar in the mix and not as much cocoa. It would never have enough chocolate flavor.

Well, this is true, it wont have as much chocolate flavor but yes you can substitute it. Double or quadruple the the amount of cocoa powder for Hot Chocolate mix (taking out the marshmallows) (depending on your tastes) and use about 1/4 the sugar needed in the recipe. (I just made chocolate no bakes without milk and hot chocolate mix and they taste great!) I hope this helps, if you are trying to sub it in a dough mix be aware that since you will have to use more hot chocolate powder than you would cocoa you may want to mix the powder with whatever liquids you have to work with in the recipe first (to dissolve the powder and keep it from getting cakey and dry). If that doesn't work add a small amount of water or milk to the mix to get it to the right consistency. :) Hope this helped.
no. sadly u can't. the reason why is they both have different tastes. the cocoa powder is bland and the hot chocolate powder tastes like hot cocoa. and hot cocoa powder is commonly more used for that sweet brown liquid u drink, more formorally known as hot cocoa.
Yes, you can substitute hot chocolate powder for cocoa powder in a recipe, but keep in mind that hot chocolate powder usually contains sugar and other flavorings that cocoa powder does not. This may affect the overall taste and sweetness of the dish.
Cocoa usually refers to pure cocoa powder, but can refer to a hot chocolate drink. However Ovaltine is a malted drink, not a hot chocolate. (Hot chocolate's have not malt in them). So Ovaltine it is not cocoa, by either meaning.
Cocoa powder is used to make hot chocolate.
Usually yes. Some recipes specify "baking" cocoa powder just so that nobody gets confused and uses "drinking chocolate mix" instead (since this contains sugar and milk powder which would throw off the recipe).
Yes, you can use hot chocolate mix as a substitute for cocoa powder in the recipe, but be aware that the hot chocolate mix may contain additional ingredients like sugar and milk powder that could alter the taste and texture of the final dish.
Droste cocoa powder (nurse brand cacao)
It takes several, but my favorite is hot chocolate!
No, two totally different substances. First of all hot cocoa mixes contain sugar, powdered milk, salt, and cocoa powder and possibly some other ingredients. But cocoa powder is pure and is not any ingredients mixed together.
To make a delicious cup of Montezuma hot chocolate, you will need cocoa powder, sugar, milk, cinnamon, and chili powder.
Common chocolate drinks are chocolate milk and hot chocolate. Chocolate milk is a mixture of milk, cocoa powder and sugar, served cold. Hot chocolate is either hot chocolate milk or solid chocolate melted in milk.
