You can but it is volatile and may blow up on you I wouldn't do it myself
Rubbing hands together creates friction, friction creates heat, so rubbing hands together in the winter may help keep them warm.
If your car is leaking coolant get it fixed and put in the recomended coolant for your car. You should locate that info in the manual, also putting water in the winter is a bad idea since the water could freeze causing engine damage. I supposed you might be able to run it for a while in the summer with just water but get the leak fixed and put in the recomended antifreeze/coolant
Antifreeze keeps your coolant from freezing. It keeps your coolant more "fluid".
by rubbing two stones together
There is no need to use straight coolant in your engine in the winter. You can buy coolant premixed in any auto supply store. Unless you live in an area that is colder than average or stays below zero, that's what you should use.
Can result in freezing in the winter and over-heating in the summer.
In the middle of Twist Mountain when it's winter.
Well actually... i know nothing about cars.... or rubbing alcohol... although... dry gas happen to be my specialty.... and let me tell you... dry gas is more dry in the winter.... due to lack of humidity... as it would be in the summer or spring-a-ling. cha ching. ba da bing. ching ching. ring a ding. you heard? what the word. terd. the bird is the word to the bird. its not obserd. that i be sayin so many words!!
Replace the engine coolant sensor.
LOw coolant? Weak thermostat?
Yes, you can. But if you leave in cold area you will have to replace with proper coolant closer to winter. Otherwise it will damage not only your radiator but also the engine.
First you have to determine the cause. Could be a faulty thermostat, frozen coolant (insufficient mixture of antifreeze), low on coolant or possibly a bad head gasket.
