Yes but not the other way around .You can not use 3" shells in a 2 3/4 chambered gun.
Take it to a gunsmith to be sure.
Yes you may use the 2 1/2in shells in your .410 gauge shotgun. Clean the forward end of the chamber after shooting.

You could eaither shoot dove with a 20 gauge shotgun or a 12 gauge shotgun. You should also use a bird shot shells
You can use Nerf darts in Buzz Bee shells, and the only real way to get rid of the shells is to have an internal shell using cpvc. Please see related link below for a writeup on this is featured on NerfHaven.

Generally "Pellets" or "Shot" contained in "Shells". There are also solid shot "Slugs" similarly contained in "Shells". I'd use Shells ie "8 shotgun shells", unless you are specifying exactly the type.
Have it checked over by a competent gun smith to find out for sure.
