I recently switched to Mobil 1 synthetic in my 05 Titan. It has 102,000 miles on it and is running great. The synthetic made the engine even quieter at idle (if that's possible) and acceleration smoother. I also switched to NGK iridium spark plugs. Wow! Smooth acceleration and noticeable gas mileage gains (any little bit helps!).
Nissan's recommendation of 5W-30 with the Titan, its is in the manual and its what i use in my Titan.I would also spend the extra $$ and use synthetic.
WHAT TYPE OF MOTOR OIL SHOULD I USE FOR MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN
6.5
i have the same model and year. i have ran royal purple in my truck sense the day i bought it. not only have i had no issues i have had better fuel economy than most titan owners i know. my titan is also lifted.
I personally use 5W-30 Kendall Lt semi synthetic/Autozone or Motorcraft 5W-30 synthetic blend, readily available from wmart. Most titan owners use full synthetics with good resullts:IE Pennzoil Platinum,Pennzoil Ultra ETC:
Yes you can use a synthetic blend or 100% synthetic.
