THAT NUMBER LOOKS LIKE A SERIAL NUMBER NOT A MODEL NUMBER. IF IT IS LOCATED UNDER THE STOCK JUST BEHIND THE TRIGGER GUARD IT IS A SERIAL OR PRODUCTION NUMBER NOT A MODEL NUMBER.
On the front of the frame under the slide/barrel.
The serial number is found on the under side of the gun before the forearm.
It is on a tag under the stand, with the model number.
There should be a model and serial number plate or sticker located either on the frame or under the seat. The engine also has a serial number and model on he base of the engine .
I have Marlin Model 336RC lever action I inherieted recently... Serial number I found was under the lever.
