yes
Yes because its easy to spread vanilla icing on donuts.
What you do is make a vanilla cupcake, use medium-sized swirl of blue icing, and add one cherry
well there is the traditional vanilla cake or cupcake n u can use vanilla icing
it will have too strong flavor that you will not love :(
I normally use betty crockers vanilla icing or you can use chocolate flavour, and you buy food dye to make the colour. it should say on the back of the packet how many drops of which colour to make that colour all you do is put how many drops it says to make pink into the icing and mix it in and its will turn pink, good luck ;)
icing sugar in its easiest form is just icing sugar and water (or milk). just start with 1/2 cup of icing sugar and add water until you get the consistency you want. once you get the consistency down, mix in some vanilla to give it some flavor. start with 1 tsp of vanilla...go from there. if you need more then 1/2 cup of icing, just start adding more icing sugar and water...keep mixing...don't forget to add more vanilla as well. this is just a simple icing. if you find it has too much of an icing flavor, try a tbsp of butter as well. it's all hit and miss with icing. for more complex, consult the internet or cookbooks. i have made mocha icing (yum), butter icing, cream cheese, etc.
yes, but you may need to add more icing sugar to make it thick enough :)
No
They are made with icing. However, you can use special tools that help you make the pattern or shape.
Yes, you can use caster sugar to make buttercream icing. You will need to cream the butter and sugar until you get the correct texture.
i just use icing sugar, about a tablespoon of cocoa depending on how much icing sugar you use, a small amount of butter about a teaspoon and boiling water. just add more water or sugar to make it the thickness you want.
If you want a pure white icing, then use clear flavorings. These are usually artificial and you can find them in the cake decorating supply area of Michaels stores. If the icing will be colored, then pure vanilla extract or the extract of your choice is fine. I use 1 teaspoon for every pound of confectioners sugar.
